Hi, I was wondering if I could use a Twin Frozr VI to cool a CPU in a custom build. So basically I had an idea for a custom computer build, and I wanted to know some other peoples advice if this would be a good idea or not. Or if anybody can find one for sale separate from the GPU. I am going to have a custom case design where the two fans would blow out the top of the case instead of the sides or rear. I am aiming to make a flat (square?) low profile mini ITX build. Any help is appreciatted!

A low profile CPU cooler is the best route

But if you're persistent on using your gpu cooler. The easiest way may be to desolder any capacitors below the socket and relocate them with wiring. And use a PCI-e cable to relocate your gpu

I don't believe there will be enough clear space around the CPU to use a GPU cooler. You need 1 or 2 cm height before the fins start to clear the voltage regulators, RAM, etc near the CPU socket. A GPU cooler doesn't have that amount of height from the thermal plate to the fins.

Yes I see what you mean, I have put some though into that also. This is a highly custom experimental PC idea, custom case, custom mobo etc. I think if I could raise the CPU socket up a bit or find a motherboard with more clear space around the cpu.
