Question for after im done building pc

After im done building my gaming PC can I just install windows install the drivers and then play or do I have to wait for thermal paste to dry and other stuff

Many posters here don't agree with this, but I recommend running MEMTEST overnight BEFORE you install Windows. It is a confidence test of the hardware that can be done without an OS installed. It gives a pretty good test of the motherboard, CPU and RAM. If you do have a RAM problem, it can be very annoying after you have your OS installed.

Memtest won't fix anything. It will just tell you that you have a problem. It is kind of like a brain tumor. You hope you don't have one, but getting a CAT scan can tell you definitively. Having blurry vision or headaches (random BSOD later) makes it more difficult to diagnose.

The probability is you RAM is OK. But memtest, just like a CAT scan can eliminate the possibility. It is a philosophy thing, I find the overnight wait to be worthwhile.
