Toshiba U203 not detected

hi,
I bought a new Toshiba u203 pen drive which worked well but now it has stopped and isn't detected by my PC. Can anyone tell me how to fix it. i use Ubuntu and as i'm a beginner pls tell it in easy language.

Press Windows+R and type devmgmt.msc.
In Device manager go to Universal serial bus controllers.
It should list the storage devices that you have connected to your PC.
Right click on the USB and then click Uninstall.
Remove the USB drive and restart your system.
Now connect your device again.

If you notice, he's using Ubuntu. Pretty sure "devmgmt.msc" won't work...;)
