What's your budget?
From what I'm able to gather, vega 64 is similar in power to a 1080. A 1080 is a good GPU for 1440. So, yes a 1440 would be a good fit. The real issue is budget. As a user of several 1440 displays(a 27" Overlord Tempest and a 34" Dell Ultrawide curved), I will say that if your budget allows, you'll want to get a 27" display. I had a 24" previous and while it seemed nice at the time, once I got the 27", I never wanted to go back to 24s. It's night and day better.
A 4k, in your budget would be an option, if you're willing to game at a lower resolution. I don't know if vega 64 quite has the oomph for good 4k refresh rates.
