Looking to improve wifi in room aswell as keeping a wired connection to my pc. My idea is to have a 30m cat6 ethernet cable from a router to a gigabit switch in my room. There will then be two ethernet cables from the gigabit switch, one to my pc and another to either an access point or to a router configured as a access point. Would this be faster than having ethernet from router to access point to pc and is it a good setup in general? My current internet carrier is supplying wifi with download speeds up to 200mbps
