Hello,

I want to add a second Ethernet adapter card to my MSI X99S SLI machine. I purchased an Intel EXPI9301CTBLK PCIe network adapter card and inserted it into the PCI_E6 slot on the MOBO. When I start up the machine it goes directly to the EFI shell and won't boot correctly until I remove the added PCIe card.

Any ideas on what may be the problem?

Thanks,
Kerry

The only options I have from the BIOS : Settings\Advanced\PCI Subsystem Settings
PEGO-PCI_E6-GenX [Auto, Gen1, Gen2 or GEN3]. Currently it is set as "Auto"

Hmmm...I don't really understand what the chart on this page is telling me. I have an 3GHz Intel Core i7-5960X CPU.
