Hello,

I own a Toshiba E45-B4200 laptop that until today was able to use wireless internet. Now I am only able to access the internet using an ethernet cable. The light for the wifi is off, and when I try to reconnect its alomost as if the computer doesnt recognize anything but the ethernet. Okay, so here's what I've done so far-

-Airplane mode is off
-My router is working, it's definitely the computer
-I updated my network adapter driver (Realtek PCle GBB Family Controller)
-I tried to install another driver from the toshiba website, but everytime i press run it never installs
-I have tried to disable and enable connections, but it does not recognize any wireless networks

I am not good with computers and have been trying to fix this for hours, any help is appreciated. Thank you!!

You either have a failed wifi card or your OS got corrupted. I have seen it either way. Try using the built in toshiba utility to check the health of HDD, hard drives go bad to but this is least likely possiblity. If you feel comfortable doing minor repairs your self maybe do the wifi card your self. $15 last time i looked. there are a few Hot os you can try to see if wifi comes up but i dont know anough about them to say further. this would prove if wifi card is good or not cause it bypasses built in os.
