Recently, my dad asked me to transfer over two hdd's to a Lenovo Erazer x315 build (My old pc before I got a ryzen build.) I have tested them on the original pc and they do boot, but when I put them in the erazer x315, it somewhat loads but then blue screens and then resets. Is there anyway to fix this? I want to at least save the data on those hdd's if possible as they have lots of personal stuff on them (Family photos, music, etc.)

Solution
That's most probably because of OS incompatibility. You should be able to use it as secondary drive. Being SATA 2 or 3 makes no difference.
