Checked my mouse polling rate, for some reason on http://zowie.benq.com/en/support/mouse-rate-checker.html it says its at 240hz and stuck, doesnt go any higher. my settings are on 500hz

Could be the polling rate checker website that's wrong then, or you're not reading it correctly. There must be a better way of checking the polling rate than using that dubious website.
My money's on that website rate checker being useless. I just tested mine on it and it's way out from what it really is.
If you've got it set to 500Hz, that's what it truly is. If you're in any doubt (but why would you be?), check it by some other method.
