Hi folks, First time here using the forums. I'm presently working on learning how to compile a list of all I have for hardware etc. I bought the PC back in 2012 from a local shop. What I'm looking for is to have a strong balanced system for Gaming/VR. Soon to be running the HTC Vive VR and for Video and Sound editing I use Sony Sound Forge, Vegas Video, and also use N-Track Multitrack Studio.
What I'm finding is that right off I need to upgrade my Video Card and Processor. (System) I'm presently running AMD FX 6100 six core 3.3ghz, 8.00 GB AMD Ram, NVIDIA GTX 260.
What I hoping to find out is what are my options for upgrading without having to do a complete system rebuild. What can I go up to as far as processor and video card with my present Motherboard? I know what I'm supplying for info my be too vague. I apologize in advance for that. The guy/shop that built the PC hasn't been helpful at all. So i'm trying to work this out on my own. Thanks..
