I have an older system (asus 8n32-sli deluxe), it still works awesome, right now I have 4x1GB ram sticks for 4GB total running Windows 7 64-bit.

I was reading that the motherboard can support 4GB maximum, but is that per each ram slot - so I could get 16GB total ram running on this thing ?

This machine still performs awesome, I have a PNY Nvidia GTX 750 on it with 1GB of ram and it works well. I am not a hard core gamer, I only play a few games here and there, when I play more intensive games I use my PS4 for that, so system wise it works fine. I have to get a PCI-E Soundblaster X-Fi card, as windows 7 no longer support the build in sound and this sounds awesome, everything else still works well.

I want to upgrade the RAM on this beast and since it is older, want to MAX it out and also get an nice SSD, to speed up Windows overall.

Please recommend the right type of RAM, the Best it can get, thanks!
