Hello guys i have laptop that i added external GPU to it using adapter, PSU and some few softwares and tweaks to make it work.. means that the PSU is only powering the gpu, the other system of the laptop like cpu and stuff have it own power from the laptop..
i had AMD 6950. and then upgraded to 960 gtx (which worked perfect), and now upgraded to R9 290, which is high end card, but i thought my Seasonic S12II 430W is enough for that.. (even some of u guys told me that its enoguh http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3478147/430w-970-gtx.html)
i installed drivers, i plug 8 pin and 6 pin to the card... and also the extra power cable to the adapter..
when i launch a game like PUBG or Rust, it crashed after few seconds or few mints.. even now on desktop usage i sometimes have freezing for 2 seconds.. this means that the psu isnt strong enough? but how? how can it be? its a modern 430W seasonic PSU that suppose to power only this gpu..
is it possible that the gpu have problems? its a used card but its hard for me to belive that the guy sold me a broken card..
