I've been trying to port forward for Terraria but to no avail.
Alright, so I've been picked away at internet forums and everything for a couple hours but I'm completely stumped on why my port forwarding is not working.
Things I have tried-
-Disabling firewall (Both router and computer)
-Setting source target to specific friends
-Testing different ports for different games(Did not work either)
-Try using different Ipv4's (I know this woudn't work but it doesn't hurt to try)
-Restart/reboot router
-Using Chrome instead of FIrefox
-Using third-party program (Simple Port Forwarding)
-I've tried every possible solutions for the first two search pages of port forwarding not working

What I'm using-
-Asus RT-N66U
-PFPort Forward Checker
-Mozilla Firefox

I am a little stumped at why you're trying port forwarding at all? I have never set up anything of the sort for terraria and yet have never had trouble when I used to host games for it. How exactly are you setting up your game, and what do your friends get as messages when they try to join? Are you using steam?

It's rather laggy for my friends whenever they try to join from steam. Setting up the server using the program provided in the terraria folder lets the server become stable in terms of connetion and gameplay, and i can leave it on if I like. There are also some simple but convenient commands like setting the time or stopping the rain.

Well not sure then. It's the right port. Assuming you have no other firewalls, and your windows firewall isn't playing up, you should be able to host.
Alternatively you could try something like hamachi, see if you have any better luck.
