Liquid cooler back plate won't fit into mobo

I'm having difficulty fastening a backplate from an nzxt kraken x52 with an asus tuf x299 mark I mobo. I have the intel i7-7800x. There are no holes that will fit in the back of he mobo. is there another way to do it im not aware of?
