Monitor doesn't detect PC and PC doesn't detect GPU

Bought a pc last year. Built it myself, went ok. Worked fine until one day ago when my pc stopped detecting my GPU. At first I thought it was the monitor because I had some problems when I first got it but I tried multiple cables (one HDMI cable and one dvi-d to hdmi) and none of them worked so I figured it had to be something else.

I then figured it might be the video card so I tried plugging it into the on-board HDMI port from the motherboard. This didn't help either at first but after switching around the cable from my GPU to the mobo port a couple times and restarting the pc the monitor displayed my desktop and it worked fine except for the GPU which the pc couldn't detect.

I thought this was weird because I had used the pc perfectly fine 6 hours earlier. I removed all the hardware from the case and replugged everything to see if it worked but still nothing so I put everything back in the case but without the videocard. Even without the card the monitor had trouble detecting my pc and sometimes it would just give me a standby error (I'm Norwegian and the monitor is in polish so I'm not 100% sure what it reads).

Also tried switching PCI lanes but none of them made my pc recognize the GPU

I've tried updating the drivers but I can't because the software can't detect the card (can't find any manual install drivers either)

Read somewhere that it might be a BIOS problem but I can't update the BIOS because every time I try to boot from flash, my monitor doesn't detect my pc and the pc just shuts off

Everything else seems to work fine. Double checked all the cables though I doubt that was what the problem initially as the pc wasn't moved during the 6 hours I wasn't using it

I've now come to the conclusion that my video card might not be bricked and that it's a software error of some kind but I don't know the origin of it. I haven't found any threads that are remotely similar to my case and so I have no idea what to do. Troubleshooting can ofc still be done because my pc still sometimes connects to the monitor. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I have listed what I tried so far but I'll add stuff if I remember it

On an unrelated note, I couldn't install a visual c redistributable package. Don't remember the error but it could be related ( I have no idea)

Ok, finally managed to try the card on another pc and it still doesn't work so i've concluded with the fact that the card is dead. The issues with the monitor not detecting the pc are still there even when connected to the onboard graphics so im figuring that it's a driver issue. Uninstalling the drivers will make it work properly i hope. Hopefully the warranty still works as ill be returning the card.
