i5 3570 + 8 GB RAM ddr3 1333 mhz + GTX 1070 - Bottleneck?

Will these parts bottleneck? I will buy a 144hz display to play Overwatch and I do not mind setting it to medium to reach the FPS. I cannot afford to buy a PC from zero right now. I originally wanted to buy the GTX 1060 6gb and pair it with 16 gb ram but ddr3 is almost impossible to find in my country so I thought maybe I should just buy the GTX 1070 to increase the FPS as it will cost me roughly the same with the money saved on RAM as the few I found were expensive (more than ddr4).

I don't mind playing other games less than 144 fps as I mostly play fighting games which are capped at 60fps. The Witcher 3, The Evil Within 2, etc and more demanding games in the future will probably run perfectly at 60 fps with that video card.

My current specs are:

Microprocessor: Intel Core i5 3570
Mobo: Gigabyte B75
RAM: 2 x 4 gbs ddr3 1333 mhz
HDD: Seagate 1TB + another Seagate 500 gbs
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912
PSU: I forgot which one I got, it is Thermaltake (I will also change this)
GPU: HD 7750 1gb ddr5 128 bits (I will replace this with the GTX1070)
Monitor: Samsung S19D300 (I will replace with a LG 24GM77-B)

At 1080p you wont 100% utilize gtx 1070 with this cpu. If you play at higher resolutions the gpu will be the limiting factor.
You will see significant improvement in fps with gtx 1070 compared to hd7750.
In the future you could search for a good deal on i7 3xxx generation (used).

It is impossible for me to find an i7 right now. I have been told the GTX 1060 6 gb will also be bottlenecked by my CPU. I am actually thinking of just buying a GTX 1050 to play at 1366 x 768 for 2 years and save money for 2 years to buy a rig from scratch with the 1070's successor (probably GTX 3070?)

at that resolution its madness to get a 1070


a gtx 1050 ti is more than plenty to max out most games with decent fps with your current processor


and even if you were to upgrade to a 1080p 144hz monitor it is strong enough to almost max out overwatch at 80 - 100 fps



if you dont want to change your current setup and get a gtx 1070, then get a 1440p 60 hz monitor

The GTX1050Ti is a good card and will serve you well until you are able to build a new machine.

Then GTX 1060 6gb with 8 gb of ram ddr3 at 1333 mhz with an i5 3570 will do 144 fps at high settings in Overwatch? Will it be enough to play other games at 60fps for at least 2 years? Will playing at a 144hz monitor would look worse than a 60hz monitor when both are at 60fps?

What does everyone say a GTX 1060 6 gb with my specs is the sweet ideal spot for my build with little to no bottleneck?

Should do, but I havent tried with your CPU.

144hz doesnt "look" any different to 60hz in terms of picture quality, it just makes it smoother with less input lag if your graphics card can keep the frame rate around 75-144fps. Many people think you need to run 144fps all the time to make good use of a 144hz monitor, but any fps above 75 will feel smoother on a high refresh rate monitor.
