Hello. I know it's quite loaded of questions like this here, I've been digging for hours, so If you feel like repeating yourself, I am really sorry...

So I build a computer but it won't boot. Nothing happens, not even a split of spin nothing.

I took out everything and tried to troubleshoot as advised the motherboard. I kept only the CPU / CPU Fan - Ram and psi 24 connector and the 4pin cpu connector. So the motherboard orange light turn on. but that's it wont boot. I can't even short it with a screwdriver like people say, I tried also with a key and a coin lol.

I tried to take out the CMOS memory for 15 sec and so on.

I also looked at this famous 20 step troubleshooting thread. Nothing worked.

And it worth mentionning that at first I thought that the motherbard was faulty so I took another one, it's the complete new one here while my first one was a second hand from amazon.

I also connected the green and black wire from the PSU it does spin when I plug it.

My specs :

ASUS prime b250m-k
i3 skylake 6100
Corsair DDR4 2133 8GB
GTX 1050
POWER SUPPLY : CORSAIR VS450

Please help...
Thank you

Hi Alexoiu, thanks for your answer, the fact that the light turn on and it spin doesn't mean that the PSU works ? I am quite a loner tbh so.... If you really think it's this I'll get a new psu and send the one that I have here for refund, usually they do not ask too much questions...

No I can because the thing is with the VS450 you don't have to plug anything in the psu case as it's the cable that comes out instead of you having to plugging stuff unto it.

Also meanwhile I kept reading and for a similar problem a dude advised to plug the cpu fan into the case one. Did that, nothing happened.

Any other idea?

Well that's what I think too. However two things stroke me : How hard you have to push the psu 24 connectors in and how strong you need to push back that cpu hatch. Would I have fucked up two motherboard or is it me being crazy?

Okay, so I probably didn't destroy two motherboards which is great at least ! My next step will be to change the PSU. Any other idea you might have that can "greenlight" the other component to make sure it's the PSU ? Working backwards kind of as I can't test the PSU properly.

Just did that, nothing happened. I plugged the case fan - who is a 3 pin that I plugged in the 4 pin fan connecter (does that matter) and I tried to power it up both with and without the cpu fan. I also tried to power it up with the front pannel button connecter plugged in and to short it with a key, coin, screwdriver whatevery.

Nothing at all :(

But just to keep up the troobleshooting process. Let's say my PSU is fine. What else can it be? I've checked the thermal paste and the ram is compatible. Anything else I can double check?

Okay, I'll get a new one tomorrow. I'll try to get a different brand too, I'll make sure to double check which one are compatible. Thank you for your help. I keep you posted !

Hello Alexoiu, update : It boot ! Or... at least the fans spin. But now I have the "no signal" issue. Also the gpu fan doesnt spin when I power it up. Is that normal?

Ok I just broke the clip on the motherboard clipping in th gpu... I barely touched it. I dont really want to unplug that stuff now... any other debug we can see first? What can it be ? either the gpu or the motherboard?

No, I think I bought the shittiest case ever, the DVI/VGA is not fitting the case so for now I plugged it in hdmi to my projector... and no signal. (PS: I tried to boot switching the ram)

Also I've noticed at boot that the fans of the gpu spin for like 5 sec.
