CPU is running a little too hot for me to be comfortable with it. 80c-90c whilst gaming at 4.6ghz.
I know the 80c range isnt too bad but its still alot hotter than my previous 4790k which at 60c at 4.4Ghz.
Currently using a corsair h110i v2 liquid cooler. So am wondering if there is anything i can do to lower this temp.

Solution
First off dont leave your Vcore on auto in bios if you have done that. It is by default set to high ( more heat )
Second make sure you have good contact with the waterblock to the IHS and correct amount of TIM.
Third. If this fails as mdd1963 sayd you always have the delid option.

I done that myself and had great temp gains.
My 7700k @ 5GHz with 1.312 Vcore never ever go past 61 - 62 celcius on all cores during prime95 with AVX.
During gaming I stay around 45 - 55 depending on what kind of game I am playing.

Before I delid I could not get to 5GHz without running into thermal problems and on stock speeds I was at high 80C some 1 core was over 90C

The temp gain you will get all depends on how "good" or "bad" the original TIM intel uses...
7700K's do run warmer than previous generations; some report a 20C drop after delidding (*carefully* removing heat spreader, cleaning off factory paste, reapplying a quality paste, reattaching heat shield)....

85-90C is a bit too warm for sustained medium load use, IMO, but if those are peak Prime95 /torture temps, then the typical 73C under 'normal loads' might be a bit more tolerable...

And from what you describe here you might be in the same boat I was and will see great gains from a delid.
But do keep in mind that there is a risk involved with it.
