So my computer is a potato rn my CPU is fried and pc won't start up at all. So I was looking to replace my parts with a budget ryzen build, going to get a ryzen 1200, a msi b350m gaming pro motherboard, and 2 x 4 gb of DDR4 gskills v ram. And am gonna keep my graphics card and hdd. So when I was checking out I was wondering if I replace my parts and boot my system will it start up and run windows with all the files, or since my old pc won't start up I can't wipe my drive clean or do something to prepare it for the new parts. My brother has a gaming pc but idk if I put my hdd in his pc if it's going to not work either. So I was wondering before I order these parts and place it in the computer, what do I need to do to boot it up properly and work?

Its better to reinstall windows since there may be driver issue on a new hardware. Reinstalling windows will detect the new hardware and the necessary drivers which helps smooth run of windows on your new hardware. Reinstalling windows on a new hardware might require you to transfer the windows license onto your new hardware.
Backup your data and Check the below links before reinstalling windows:

It's possible windows will boot with your old files but you might have driver issues especially with a new motherboard.

Windows 10 is a lot better with that than the older generations. If you had 2000 or XP, the chances would be bad.
