Q6600 3ghz overclock temp

Hi guys hawe few question so I overclock the cpu q6600 2.4ghz to 3.0ghz so minimal temp is 36c and max is 55c is thoes temps is ok for 3ghz?

FSB 333
Multyplaier x9
dram 1000mhz (or second option was 1333
thats all I tuch in bios

airflow is 2x12mm out of chase and 1 smaler in chase
Kind stock coler


PC info
MB->P5G4iT-M LX
CPU->Intel Core 2 Quad q6600 (steping B) (Revision GO)
Ram->8gb 1333mhz

Your Core temperatures are well within Intel's Thermal Specifications.

As you may know, there are actually two different Q6600's; the original B3 at 105 Watts TDP, and the later G0 at 95 Watts TDP, which is a better processor. Intel's Product Specifications website does not differentiate TDP between these processors, but the Datasheet does.

Throttle temperature (Tj Max) for the Q6600 G0 is 100°C. Regardless, you should not exceed 85°C Core temperature (less than 80°C is recommended) or 1.5 Core voltage (Vcore)...

Although 3.0GHz at stock Vcore is an easy overclock, most Q6600 G0 CPU's will overclock to 3.6GHz (9 Multiplier x 400MHz FSB). You could also try 3.2GHz (8 Multiplier x 400MHz FSB), which may be stable without manually increasing Vcore.

At 3.6HGz you'll need a better cooler than Intel's stock cooler due to the necessity for higher Vcore to maintain stability, which will result in higher Core temperatures.

Yes I know ther is 2 types of this cpu on core temp its say I hawe GO version of cpu so far I read on forums ppl say for q6600 its more so not worth push forward !! and like you mention with bether coler not worth any way :) so far I stick with this one and will buy bether cpu coler to get it higer litle bit !!
