Hello TomsHardware!
I've recently installed Fedora 26 Workstation onto my main PC (after a long struggle!) and I need a way to access the internet on it, as my WiFi drivers aren't preinstalled, and I need internet to get the WiFi drivers. I have done this before in Fedora, in a previous install, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it again.
This is essentially what's connected to what:
Router (Netgear Nighthawk R7000) > Laptop's WiF (Razer Blade Stealth Early 2016, Killer Wireless-N-A-AC 1535 card) > USB3 extension cable > Mbeat M-Sleek black USB hub w/ Ethernet 10/100 port (ASIX AX88772B USB2 to Fast Ethernet Adapter) > Main PC (ASRock Fatal1ty H170 motherboard, using integrated ethernet)
I have tried "Allow other network users to connect through this..." on my WiFi card, with the USB hub's Ethernet port being the allowed device. I have also tried bridging both connections, which didn't work either.
The solution I had before was something to do with setting IPs in both Fedora's Wired Connections options and Windows 10's IPV4 settings. I've tried different things in both of those but have not yet gained internet access. I have gotten it to show as connected on Fedora's side a few times, but I have no idea what caused it.
