Hi,

I am setting up a new system and it seems that my MOBO is already dead....

Basically, I have now just the RAM, the CPU (i5) and the PSU connected to the MOBO. The blue CMOS led is lighting up continuously and when shorting the PWR pins, nothing at all is happening...

Yesterday, the fuse of my PSU blown up (Corsair HX750i). I have been trying with another Power Supply but now nothing at all. The CPU or the board do not show any signs of damage. I can not test the CPU. Why is puzzling me is that the blue CMOS button is lighting up so the MOBO is powered....

Any idea?
Thanks....

You got the short circuit if the fuse blown up, like the MB/ case, or the MB connectors, etc.
When you got that, the PSU will bring down other components too, you have to test the part one by one to see which has problem. Sorry, nothing you can do, just test the components or buy the whole new PC.
