Upgrading g2120 to i3 3220

I am thinking to upgrade my g2120 cpu to i3 3220(as it is the cheapest available in lga 1155 socket).
I just want to know is this a visible upgrade? I mean, i'll be able to see performance improvement in gaming. If yes, than how much and if no, what cpu do you suggest under ₹10000 (150$).

4gb ddr3
h61 mobo

Should be able to pick up a used i5 3570 for about $80. Going from the G2120 to a i3 3220 is almost a sidestep, the i3 is slightly better.

I don't think you would see a great increase on performance with that upgrade, As it is only a slight step up in performance, To be honest with you I would save a little more and go for an i5 or i7 as they would give you a greater increase.

You can get an i5 for under $150 on ebay, take a look at an I5-3570K

Thanks for the replies. One more thing i need to ask that as you all can guess i am at lga 1155 socket which is an old gen. So should i upgrade to i5 same gen or just upgrade the whole gen.?
Which should be more relevant for gaming(considering my budget).
