Hello!

My problem is BSOD with code "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION".

It started about 2 months ago and I get random BSODs while I'm playing games, mostly. I checked minidump file and it seems that the problem is caused by hal.dll file. I did some research and found out that people experience similiar problems to mine after installing one of the Windows updates from 14.06.2017 (probably KB4022405).

A few infos:

- I didn't install any new devices to my PC since purchase,
- I had a problem with my Ethernet Connection, but resolved it by doing Windows Restore,
- I did Windows Auto Repair once, because of these BSODs.

My PC specs are i5 6600K, 16 GB ram (8x2 GB RipjawsV), Asus GTX 980Ti Strix, SSD Crucial MX200, Asus Maximus VIII Ranger. Running on Windows 10 64 bit.
I'm using XMP OC mode (choosed at Bios Interface, all settings set to auto).

I've uploaded most recent minidump from today:
minidumpwin10.zip

Can you help me, please? I really can't find a proper solution and I'm out of ideas. :(

Update:
I performed a clean graphics drivers install with DDU tool. I've installed newest Nvidia driver.

Well lets start with MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION error. This could mean quite a few things but I would start at the physical layer first.

Open your PC and double check all components are seated properly. Especially the cpu and heatsink connection. You may also want to monitor system temps to see if anything appears to be running above normal when you game.

Hello androbourne, thanks for your assistance.

Everything seats properly. I also cleaned my case from dust, as I had a lot of it on my anti-dust pads (Corsair 400Q case) and some on the graphics card. Also I checked temperatures and it seems that everything is fine. I'm adding two screenshots from HWMonitor with idle and stress temperatures, so you can review it if you want.

I'm also adding the screenshot from BlueScreenView with the latest minidump.
