R9 290 running really hot, would upgrading to an EVGA 1080 Hybrid be good?

Hey guys,
My R9 290 is running at 94C which is insanely hot imo but apparently it's a hot card according to reviews and such that I've read. I'm wondering if upgrading to a EVGA GTX 1080 Hybrid would keep the temperature down to around 60-70C?

These are all the current parts that I have and the GPU that I want to upgrade it to. I have a top and back fan for exhaust and I bought two Corsair AF120 Quiet Performance for intake in the front but it didn't do much. Would replacing my card help? Cause I feel like it's melting other components in my computer right now if I keep letting it heat like this. Airflow in it doesn't seem to be the greatest and my room gets really hot (upwards to 26).

Yea there's plenty of videos out there on how to do it. There should be screws on the back of the card to take the cooler off and I use MX4 for thermal paste. This should help but it may only bring it down a few degrees Celsius which is still better then nothing. I would try this before upgrading but if you do the 1080 would be a good choice.

The Hybrid cards run extremely cool, my GTX 1080 ti Hybrid max temp is 40C while gaming. However which version of the R9 290 do you have? I would thoroughly clean it out and reapply the thermal paste which should help lower the temp a bit but the 290's do run hot as my reference version ran @95C under load but it's still going strong in a friends build.
