Hello everyone. I'd like to start off by saying that I don't typically post on forums so forgive me if I do something out of the ordinary or am posting under the wrong category.

Basically, my PC has been having an issue where it just freezes after 5 seconds to a minute of playing. It'll repeat the same millisecond of audio and the display will completely freeze. Alt+tab doesn't work and trying to open task manager does nothing. Basically, I am forced to restart the computer by holding the power button on the case. I honestly have no clue why its doing this and am hoping some of you can help me out. (The game I am trying to play is CS:GO)

Specs
System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Processor: Intel core i7-2600k
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580
RAM: 24GB of installed RAM
Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe

If I'm missing something, please let me know. I'm not the best when it comes to computers hence why I'm posting for help.

My first guess would be the RAM. Seems like you have mixed RAM modules. Make sure all your RAMs sticks are being recognized in the BIOS. Run memtest to make sure there are no bad addresses in the RAM. Whenever an app occupies that address, the PC freezes. Do you get BSODs?

I have 4 RAM sticks in. They're all corsair sticks but two of them are 2x8 and the other two are 4x3. I checked to see if they're all being recognized and they are. I removed all ram except for one 2x8 and ran the game again with the same results. I tried again with two 2x8 and had the same results again. I don't think the RAM sticks are the issue here.
edit: I dont get BSODs, it just freezes and repeats the audio until I restart the PC
