PSU Cable Too Big

Basically I got a new power supply, but I ran to a small issue. My old PSU had a smaller cable connecting to the optical drive (at least that's what I think it's called). Anyways, the old PSU cable was smaller and my new PSU has no small cable like that. The only similar looking cable I found was way bigger. Here are some pics:

What model is your optical drive?

It looks like you’re holding a SATA data cable next to a SATA power cable. Both of which do plug into your optical drive but one feeds it power and the other sends data to and from the drive.

Could you post a picture of the back of your drive so we can see the connection points?

It sounds like you have an HP proprietary optical drive which has a slim-line SATA power connector.

You can find an adapter like this or buy a different drive.

Not sure but here is another look at the default cables. As you said one is connected to the motherboard and the other to my old PSU.

Is there any cable on an EVGA 600w PSU like the one on the right?

Ya, you’ll need an adapter to allow it to work.
