If you buy a cheap ($175???) prebuilt with the expectation of upgrading it...you are simply wasting money buying parts twice.

I just plan on putting in the gpu, changing the PSU and maybe upgrading something like the ram, or mb in the future I'm just trying to get a pc that runs WoW and some current games at low/med settings for now ( I'm Abit new to pc upgrading/building) and don't want to start off with a full build. Also I'm new to tom's hardware.

I would go with the new one from Fry's. At least you would have a warranty, which is more than you would get off of EBay.

He gets a i5 3rd Gen, 8 GB memory and a clean copy of windows for $168.00. That's not a bad starting point for a gaming PC. The PSU and video card he needs to buy will carry over to his next build. The windows copy might carry to a new MB later (if registered to his microsoft account). Seems reasonable to me vs new i3, MB, case, disk, keyboard and mouse for .$250-$350 before video and PSU.

Things to verify
1. Case holds full height video card. (not low profile or small form factor) -- from picture looks good,
2. PSU is an ATX compatible one. did not check but odds are very good its an atx.

update: 2nd PC with 6th gen i5 for roughly same money looks even better, Same things to check.
