CPU - AMD - FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor

GPU - Sapphire - Radeon R9 270X 2GB Vapor-X Video Card

Motherboard - MSI Extreme Gaming AMD 970 AM3+ DDR3 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard (970A GAMING PRO CARBON)

Power Supply - EVGA - 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Ram/Memory - G.Skill - Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory

I'm new to building PCs so any input would be helpful, thanks in advance.

Is there a reason you're using such old parts?

What is your budget?

Uses for the PC: Gaming, Browsing, Video Editing etc.

Do you have a monitor/keyboard/mouse

I already have built a computer with an fm2+ motherboard. I wanted to upgrade my CPU but realized that I had the best fm2+ CPU there was, so this set of parts would be the overall PC after I upgraded, because I was
getting a new motherboard and CPU. It was a very budget build because I have no way of making much money.
My old CPU was an AMD Athlon 4x 860k. Sorry if I worded my response poorly.

Your board should support the 880K might need a BIOS update but unless your doing something that need all the cores of the FX would give you about the same performance without changing boards and the chance of also needing to get a new OS license also.

Yes except the bit higher clock speed. You could overclock yours and get about the same gaming performance as the 5 year old FX processor.

I'm asking is the difference between the 860k and 880k, is it worth it? Ok, if I were to change something in my PC overall, what would it be. I can't decide what I should do for my next upgrade to better my PC. This is my first build and I'm quite overwhelmed.
