I have a i5 3570 which i got in 2013.I upgraded the GPU to a 1060 and RAM to 16 GB as well.With the release of Ryzen 3 series,the idea of upgrading seems rather tempting.I live in NZ and it will cost me atleast $600.I want to know if it worth spending that amount of money or should I just stick with my i5 and if I do want to upgrade then which CPU should I go for.

No need to spend so much for a new mobo, processor and RAM; Just upgrade to an i7 3770; But if you are really tempted to upgrade, then upgrade to the Ryzen 5 1600;

The idea is tempting, and that temptation occurs to me all the time.

However, in all reality, I don't need to upgrade. Nothing I currently do is pushing my system that hard, really. I'd say stick with what you have, and save up for a more substantial upgrade in the future.

:) Very true. If you are not an enthusiast or an OCD towards minute details, then its not at all advisable to upgrade a 3 year old working system. I would advice you to squeeze every last juice out of your machine and make the value worth it. I believe in it. I myself use an i5 6th gen processor that too non k.
So dont go with the pc master race and enthusiast youtube channels, they are just BS.
