I just recently upgraded the GPU in my Zbook G3 from a Nvidia Quadro M1000M to an Nvidia Geforce GTX 965m (the short one which I think is MXM A). To begin, this process was a huge pain. My hardware ID wasn't in the driver files, so I had to edit the inf files to even get driver to recognize my card. Now that the driver is installed, and I can see the card, I have 2 issues.
1.) When I had the M1000M installed, I was able to play a game, lets say skyrim, on the laptop display, and the M1000M would be used to render the graphics. With the GTX 965m, the only program that's used it is Unigine Valley, which leads me to my next issue.
2.) When Unigine Valley uses the card, it is locked at 405mhz for both base clock and memory according to Unigine. In GPU-Z, the reason for PerfCap is "idle". I ran GPU-Z Monitoring while I had unigine going and the core clock shows up as 135.0 MHz and the memory is at 202.5 MHz which don't change with valley running or not. When I open GPUZ it mometarily says my clock speeds are normal 935/1253, but then they drop down to idle speeds"
issue number 2 (or both of them maybe) has something to do with some kind of performance tiers as listed at the bottom left of this page I believe.

I should also clarify that the gpu works at normal clock speeds when I'm hooked to an external monitor.
I have been working on this issue for a week, and am at a loss. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
