960 Evo compatible with my motherboard?

Im looking at upgrading my SSD, i was wondering whether my motherboard would be compatible with the Samsung 960 EVO M.2-2280 500GB PCI Express 3.0 x4. My motherboard is an Asus P8B75-M LE. I currently run my GTX 970 from the PCIe 3.0 slot, can I run the SDD from the remaining PCIe 2.0 x16 slot?

You can but only as aa storage drive and know ahead of time that it will run at half speed due to the difference between pcie2 and pcie3
