I want to upgrade my RAM for the HP z420. I am wondering what kind i can go with.

Whats the difference between single or dual channel ram?
Is this a decent RAM set for HP z 420 for VR?
Does my CPU support that much ram? e5-1607 I believe supports this easily.
Is there any other bottleknecks, considerations, before i upgrade the ram?
I am looking at 8x8 for 64 gb of ram, at 1600 mhz, but the ones i find are all dual channel. There is single channel at 1033mhz, and its more expensive, is this faster? Does this configuration not come at 1600 mhz single channel?
