I'm trying to hook up a wireless router. I plug in the ethernet cables; one going from the router to the modem, and other going from the router to the computer. It appears to work initially; my computer says I have Internet access initially. But as soon as I try to do anything that requires Internet - such as loading a web page - my Internet immediately crashes. THe computer icon in the bottom-right corner has a yellow triangle on it.

I can't even get wifi on any other devices, like my phone.

How do I get the router to come on and stay on?

Solution
That would indicate either;
1. The Ethernet cable is not connected from the computer to the router LAN port, not the WAN port which should have a cable from it to the modem.
2. The Computer did not get an IP address from the router.

Try powering off the router, shutdown the computer, power on the router, power on, boot the computer, try running the software again
