I apologize if this has been answered and closed already, but I couldn't seem to find my particular issue. I built my PC (specs below) around mid 2014 (of course with occasional upgrades) and I've finally had my first serious issue. It isn't a super high end PC but it does everything I need it to, and then some.
Anyhow, I went to restart it the other day, and it didn't boot at all, not even to BIOS (Factory Version 1.60... naturally I can't see what updated version I have because it won't boot). Black screen.
SO-
I cleared CMOS with the jumper, then the battery. Nothing.
I re-seated the memory in all four different slots. Nothing.
Re-installed CPU. Nothing.
Tried booting with everything disconnected except mem, CPU, HDD and PSU. Nothing.
It's never overheated before, CPU stays at 42C load temp, maybe 28 or 30 idle. I've taken other preventative measures as well, but you get the idea.
I'm saying all of this because I get Dr. Debug codes (in no particular order, and sometimes in different orders): 2b, 3b, 36, 15, B4 and 4F.
4F scares me the most because it sounds like a faulty BIOS chip. Worked fine one minute, not at all the next. Thanks for the help, and again I apologize if this is already a thread.
CPU: AMD A10-6800
MoBo: Asus AsRock FM2A88x Extreme 6+
Mem: (4) 4 GB Ballistix DDR3 1600 MHz = 16 GB
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 (5GB Mem)
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 500W
HDD: 1 TB Toshiba
SSD: 250GB Samsung EVO
Optical Drives: LG Modisc DVD Reader
Asus DVD Multi Recorder + Reader
Internet: Asus 2.4/5 GHz Wireless PCI-E card
I attempted to be as specific and thorough as possible. Thanks for the help, folks!
