How much better in terms of performance is the Ryzen 5 1500x vs the AMD FX 8310?

Title says it all. I have spent the past few days deciding on how I am going to go about upgrading my pc. I have decided that the CPU will be my first step, since a new CPU means new MOBO and RAM as well. Tomorrow I will order the 1500x and I am curious as to how much of a performance gain I will see on the CPU side of things.

quite a few things should be faster, but, gains in gaming might sometimes be limited by the gpu as well....(for instance, a GTX1030 stops gaining fps at 1080P in some games with cpus above a Ryen 3 /1300 or so...)

(Food for thought: how much more is the 1600? (2 extra cores, 4 more threads, might last 2 years longer if games start using more cores sooner rather than later....)
