Does it matter what PCI X1 slot you used ?

Hi All,

Recently I fully upgraded my machine and also got a sound card, however my system sometimes failed to boot (1 in 12 times), upon switching the sound card with my network card so now my soundcard is no longer directly above the graphics card, my issues at the moment appear to be fixed, why might this be the case ?, thanks all.

GPU is in top slot, im on about the smaller X1 slots for wifi cards and sound cards etc, im seemed be getting a hardware failure on boot sometimes but everything is new so I wasn't sure what was going on.

Hoping this is just a simple issue and not an actual hardware fault, will just have to keep testing !
