Hi

I have an old hard drive running windows 10 and another hard drive with my music and games, im woindering if i install a new hard drive and put a fresh copy of windows 10 on that. would that affect my other Hard Drive with my games and music?

My specs are:
intel pentium G4560
Gtx 750TI asus Strix Overclocked
Asrock h110m HDS r3.0
Western Digital Blue (with music and games)
Hitachi 130 gb hard drive (windows 10 installed)

and I just want to know if my hard drive with all my games and music will be affected during this process?

Solution
No. It wont effect the other hard drive unless you have installed any games or software's using the path to that drive. Data wont be effected.

Good Luck.:) Peace.

my games might not work until i download and install steam again because steam is located on my 'C' drive. would that be an easy fix or more complicated

You can copy the game data(backing up) to Western Digital Blue(with music and games) and when you are done installing windows 10 on the new hardrive and after installing the game just copy the game data(backup) from the Western Digital Blue to the game save path on your new hard disk on which you installed the game.

And about backing up and restoring the steam refer the below link:

Good Luck.:) Peace.

I thought I'd ask this anyway but what if you aren't using steam can you just copy and paste in the new drive?

You are talking about game data right? We can copy and past the offline game data. I have done this before.

Peace.

I mean the whole game file not save data.
