hey guys, I've got a question,Today im "rocking" a H61M-S1 motherboard from gigabyte, with a I3-3220 3.30 ghz socket 1155 of ivy bridge,I've got a good size of ram (4gb of ddr3 that im planning to add 4gb more) a budget friendly gtx 1050 and a good psu 600w.

My plan in the long round is to get an i5 for gaming, not 1080,not full ultra, just your average,e-sport or casual medium graphics games. at the beginning I thought if I wanted to do that,I would have to change the motherboard, and with that upgrade my ram to ddr4, both things that I kinda don't want to do it if I could evade them. so,My question is : Is this possible? are there i5 options for me compatible with my system and my desires? if so,which ones?

Solution
If you are sure not the 1080 or ultra resolution, yes, the i5 should be fine, but nobody will know how long you will be hold on the i5 for gaming.
