Hey guys,

I was wondering at what extent my current cpu [Intel Core i3 CPU 530 @2.93GHz (4 CPUs)] would bottleneck my GTX 1050ti? I am replacing the CPU in the next month with an AMD Ryzen 5 1500x but until then I want to know what I shall be dealing with.

Kind regards
Josh

To be honest: There IS a bottleneck. But if you will swap both your motherboard and CPU, buying a new one would never justify the cost of a new Intel CPU.
Although, if you want to stay on the *ahem way better ahem* blue side, just swap out the CPU for a better i7-870 and it would be cheaper because you will buy an old processor (less money) without buying a new motherboard.

Here's the i7-870 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-870-Processor-Socket-LGA1156/dp/B002KQ5KEI
I hope this helped you.
