What should I do?

I have a 2x4 ram right now but I am wondering when should I upgrade to 16gb and how because I only have 2 slots for ram so will I have to sell tjem and buy a 1x16 or 2x8?

Honestly, if I were you I would not do the upgrade. 8gb of RAM will meet 99% of all games minimum RAM requirements where you will run into more situations where your CPU will your weakest link and not your RAM.

Adding more RAM only matters when you need more RAM. For example, if the game you play or application you use only uses 6gb of RAM, then a 8gb RAM system will run the application or game just as fast as a 16gb RAM system.

I would save the money and put it to a better processor or a GPU.
