I'm looking to upgrade the cooling in my Ryzen rig to something with more capacity so I can OC. CPU is a Ryzen 1700x and GPU is a GTX 1080. When I built it I had a new Corsair H60 given to me by a friend. It does great for everyday use but I'd like to overclock. I have a firm budget of $130(amazon gift cards). Should I get the H100 or the H110i or is there a better AIO for the budget that I have? My case will support up to a 280mm rad.

Unfortunately, $130 is just below the point where ya can get anything decent. The Swiftech H220 X2 (2 x 120mm) is $140 and the H240 X2 is $150. The Corsair h110 is $133 on amazon. As we can see here:

temp_oc_aida64.png

$45 Scythe Fuma Air Cooler = 69C / 42 dbA
$85 Noctua D15 Air Cooler = 70C / 43 dbA
$90 Cryorig R1 Universal = 70C / 45 dbA

$105 Cryorig A40 CLC = 70C / 50 dbA
$130 Cryorig A80 = 67C / 48 dbA
$150 Swiftech H240-X = 66C / 46 dbA

Given the noise and temp numbers, I can see a reason to spend more than $45 ....

If I was to invest $85 more for a CLC, I'd find $20 more to get an actual loop assembled from all copper custom loop quality components.
