New motherboard, slower network speed.

Earlier today, I replaced an MSI 760GM-P34(FX) with an MSI 760GMA-P34(FX) and have noticed incredibly slow network speeds despite this not being an issue on any other device. I should be seeing close to 30 Mbps but am seemingly capped at 4.75 Mbps (every test on various sites shows this).

I've already tried uninstalling the network adapter, rebooting, allowing Windows to install a native driver, testing, finding the same result, updating the driver with Driver Booster, testing, same result again.

I've never experienced this sort of issue before. What am I missing?

Solution
Oddly enough, after powering off and unplugging the system, the issue resolved itself. No clue why/how but it's fixed and I've confirmed it via speed tests and Realtek's diagnostic tool.

Thank you to everyone who tried to lend a hand!

Already gave that a shot but still have the issue.

Can't believe that this would be a faulty network adapter on a brand new board. I'd have to have some of the worst luck in the world with electronics.

No, I haven't bothered updating chipset drivers because I was under the impression that they would be identical between my old board and my current board (per MSI support). Only drivers I've updated since installing the new motherboard is Sound, video and game controllers, IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, and the network adapter drivers, Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

I'm concerned that there might be a driver conflict somewhere but I'm not certain where to look. I tried running the disc that came with the motherboard but received an error about admin permissions. I'd hate to go through each folder and potentially revert to older drivers... assuming it will let me run the executable at all (which is unlikely).

As for mobo settings, I'm not aware of any differences. I only changed the RAM frequency from 1333 to 1600 to reflect what my RAM is capable of (same frequency I used on the old board too).

I've downloaded Realtek's diagnostic utility and found that the Duplex Mode is showing as Half Duplex. When clicking on Ethernet Status for my home network in the Network and Sharing Center, it shows the Speed as being 10Mbps, which is obviously an issue.

So essentially, this thing is running at 10Mbps Half Duplex. That's a problem but I can't tell if it's software related or a fault with the motherboard.

On what sites have you tested the network's speed ?
There
might be a problem with your network (capped modem, wires, wall socket).

And after that you should switch back to the full duplex setting.
If you dont notice any improvements, you should contact the MSI support or your local dealer if your motherboard is still under warranty.

Hope this helps.
