I need help,recently i bought a gtx 1050 ti from gigabyte,and I have some issues withit:
1.my gpu has elpida memory chips while all gtx 1050 ti is using samsung memory chips
2:the is loading only 97% I don't think that it can bottleneck cause I have an I5 6500,is it possible that my gpu can be counterfiet?

Solution

Your i5 6500 can handle a faster card than the 1050 Ti, so yes your video card can be a bottleneck. Depending on the game and quality settings of-course.

About the memory used, yes many 1050Ti cards use Samsung memory, but there are others out there. Here is one with Micron

gpu-z show that it use elpida memory chips,I'm worry about this because my own gtx 1050 ti g1 gaming from gigabyte must own only samsung chips,I think that this card can the second revision but I'm not sure about this.

I mean, check the specs on GPU-z to see if it matches a genuine one, amount of Cuda cores, memory bus etc

Dont worry, its not counterfeit; You dont get much fake graphics card in the market because the cost will be way too high to fake a gpu; So chill, and the max load is just fine; Try running some benchmarks on the GPU. Timespy is a good option.

Theres actually lots of fake graphics cards around. It doesnt cost much at all, they just get old gpus and fake the name in the bios.

samsung is just one of the supplier (although they are the biggest right now, followed by Hynix and Micron). elpida might not the best memory maker but they are official supplier for GDDR5 memory.

last i heard this kind of thing was during kepler generation. starting from maxwell generation nvidia beefing up the security on their firmware side. though some of linux community did not like this move because it will "lock" the hardware further.

Yeah still tons on ebay. usually old Fermi cards with the bios modified to have the display name changed, but you still see the specs of the GPU, so easy to tell as they will be totally different.

Did you run some benchmarks to see what the scores are from your card? Maybe check with Gigabyte support and see if they have info on what chips may be in their cards?

I have another problem with cpu, while I'm playing BF1 cpu is always load on 100% an d gpu satys between 80-90%,and the avg fps on high setting is around 40-45,while on this same setting an i3 with gtx 1050 ti gives you 55 avg fps, according to the testing my rig can perform 64 fps in avg on those settings,I'm asking all pf you, what should I do to fix this problem?
