Asus m5a97 le 2.0 video signal problem with gtx680

Hi I bought new motherboard.

I installed my parts fx8350 pocessor, gtx680 graphic card and 2x adata ddr3 1333(9) 4gx16 u-dimm memories but its just saying no video signal when i start my computer. Corsais vs550 power source.

Tried with my old gt610 graphic card too but same problem.

I have tried to remove one memory stick and reseted cmos couple of times but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

is it a brand new motherboard?

Check all the power connections are plugged in, like the CPU power cable.

Yeah its brand new. Everything is plugged in correctly. Maybe I should try with some really old graphic card to start it and then install gtx680 drivers?

No. It wont be a driver issue if you arent even seeing the bios splash screen.

Either something is faulty, or something isnt connected correctly.

Ah ok it starts normally no beeps or anything and when I plug in screen it says no video signal. Ill try to remove and reinstall everything guess thats only thing I can do atm.

Yeah its bound to be something not connected right. Do you have the pc speaker attached? As error beeps can be useful.

I assume it doesnt work with the GT 610?
Try clearing the CMOS, its the jumper near the PC speaker pins. Turn pc off, move jumper over, hit the power button (nothing should happen), then move the jumper back and try powering on again.

Ok... seems like powerstroke from psu that burnt my motherboard also broke processor and graphic card. I got in to bios with new motherboard when I put my old phenom2 processor and gt610 on. But didnt get video signal again with gtx680.

Yeah thats why we always advice getting good quality PSUs, but thats hindsight..

On the bright side, could be an opportunity to go for the new Ryzen platform?
