Right click on the Chrome icon on the desktop, left click on properties, then in the target box should be (assumes chrome on drive C) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-gpu
Click on Apply and OK.

Good Luck.:) Peace.

Hi VJ
Got as far as property box but can't see how to disable. Only got Start in- with same address as above. Run_ maximised . Comment-Access the Internet. I should have said that the signal has been dropping frequently recently. Two things I have done recently 1) installed new battery and 2) installed Trusteer Rapport which I remember gave me problems before so have now uninstalled.

Set Run - Normal window
Set Target - "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-gpu

You have to type --disable-gpu one space after "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" in the target

Good Luck.:) Peace.

Still having same problem with signal dropping. Occasionally happening with other laptop too. can fix temporarily by going into settings and making sure the connection is there but it does not last. Any ideas?

Since its there with the other laptops as well, its mostly the problem with the WIFI. Who is your ISP? Try resetting the WIFI channel and setting it up again. If the problem persists then better call your ISP.

Good Luck.:) Peace.

Thanks once again. Before I got round to doing anything ( and I have changed the wifi channel before) the problem seems to have cured itself! Will see how long it lasts this time.
