Hi, i have optiplex 390 mini tower. I want to put new PSU in like 400W or something like that. My question is when i put my new PSU can i put something like rx 460 or 1050ti in the PC. I have found something on web site that might be problem.
PCIe x16 Slots
(Voltage supported 3.3V/12V)
1
Height (inches/centimeters)
4.376 / 11.115
Length (inches/centimeters)
7.4 / 24.13*
Maximum Wattage
75W

Am not sure if this is the problem coz i have seen people put graphics cards in the same PC that need 2x6 pin conectors.

Solution
75W cards can run on the PCIe slot. But some card makers put the 6 pin connector on for overclocking reasons. I've heard that those won't run without the cable. The GTX1050 would be more likely not to require it than the GTX1050Ti. If you want the Radeon check with the Mfg. When i put my R9-285 in several years ago it wasn't a known issue. But by now they should know which Dells support it or not. Specifically the cards won't display VESA Mode 103 which Dell BIOS hung onto forever. At the link I posted I wasn't seeing the normal number of newer Radeons I would expect. Almost none, so it makes me suspicious.
Here are some Optiplex 390 builds. Alomost all of them are running Nvidia cards. Only a couple R9-3xx or 4xx cards.

I would say you're safer going with Nvidia. There is an issue with Radeon GCN3 and up cards not displaying the Dell BIOS screen. I've had this with the R9-285/380 in the E520 in my sig.. I've run benchmarks with it , but no BIOS available until I put another card in. I went to Dell Community Forums and didn't find the issue listed for your system.
Dell only comments on parts they sold with their systems (exceot in the forums). I would suggest contacting the GPU vendor with this issue before buying. Your Dell might be new enough to not have this, but it is a very real issue.

So you are saying that i should go with Nvidia cards, that ok rx 460 is cheaper here but if problem is like that i wont but it. But can i put gtx 1050 in my rig coz maximum wattage says 75w for PCIe slot, am not sure if it has anything to do with it.
