Will a new CPU increase my fps in Overwatch and PUBG?

Solution

yes, since Ryzen uses AM4 slot instead of the AM3 u had
u also need to change the RAM
Ryzen 5 1600 is a good choice, pair it with a good B350 mobo and a high speed DDR4 ram and u are set to go, specs should be something like this:
R5 1600
B350 mobo
8 / 16 GB of DDR4-3000

Edit: btw, Ryzen 5, not I5, Ryzen offer more bang in the buck nowdays, unless intel's Coffelake offers good price for their CPU, i would go with Ryzen all the way.
depending on what u're getting right now and what u're expecting, yes and no
your GPU is still solid enough, but it's on-par with the budget-gaming 1050ti which means u can't max out PUBG and get smooth experience. (don't mention overwatch.... we all know these cards will play them maxed out just fine)
your CPU is pretty old, so CPU bottleneck might occur since PUBG is pretty CPU demanding (the map is pretty big right?)
if u're willing to spend more money, u can get the Ryzen rig instead (something like R5 1600 would suffice), though this option will force u to change mobo and RAM too
if u're not willing to upgrade them all, FX 8350 can still offer u a pretty good performance (as my friend had a FX 8320 paired with 1070 and he still gets amazing result out of it) but try to find a good deal on this CPU / find a used one, as spending money for the full price of this CPU is really not worth it
