Just bought "asus strix 1060 6gb" to replace my "msi 660ti" and my fps is about the same and sometimes worse.

For example when playing CSGO i used to get between 190-300 fps with my old gpu and now am getting 150-210.

Specs:
Asus Z170-A
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 ram
Asus Strix 1060 6GB
Intel Core i5-6600K

Framerate is about more than videocard power. Your system can only output so many frames per second no matter what card you have. You can't continue to get more and more frames per second as long as you keep adding more videocard power.

So, it's possible that your CSGO performance is being held back by something other than the videocard, such as your CPU. In terms of videocard power for CSGO, the 660 Ti has plenty. This MIGHT be why you're seeing no difference, you were already maxxed out with the 660 Ti.

An easy test is to use another, more modern and demanding, game as a test. For instance Battlefield 1, if you're seeing the same framerate in that game at 1080p on both cards that would be unusual.

use a demo game from steam, a AAA title, and turn all settings to Ultra, see how you fare, or download valley benchmark

If your gonna play old titles like CS:GO put your old GPU back in if you have it, but as far i can see id rather keep your newer one going forward. Surely a game like Arma 3 would Attract you into it or DayZ, with your new card you can play more titles and at better settings, probably using less power.
