As the title says, my pc crashes when playing games (like Besiege).
When playing Arma 3 and BeamNG (both hard on the CPU and GPU) the PC is as stable as it gets.
I can't find anything in the Eventviewer that says the crash is a driver fault (haven't had them in months).
Crash goes as follows:
1) Screen freezes (mouse can still move for a few seconds)
2) Mouse freezes
3) Screen goes black to "No signal"
Then I just restart the pc and it does like nothing happened.
Specs:
Intel Core I7 4790K
Asus Maximus VI Hero
Gigabyte R9 280X Windforce 3GB
Corsair Vengeance cmz16g 4x4GB
Coolermaster V850
Samsung 750EVO SSD 500GB
2x WD Black 500GB
Watercooled with custom loop
I doubt it is a hardware issue, but I also doubt it is a software issue.
The components are from a Crossfire setup PC (2x R9 280X) which ran stable, but now it's only a single GPU.
During stress testing (Prime95 and MSI Kombustor) nothing happens.
CPU capped out on 75°C as well as the GPU. No thermal throttling ensues.
It's a fresh install of Windows, all latest drivers and is up to date, cleaned, registry cleaned etc...
Also ran Memtest 3 times and no errors.
I have read this thread: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3245348/freeze-crash-playing-games-stress-testing.html?xtor=EREC-8889&_ga=2.30606655.1081565451.1502976394-404697262.1498730834 but how can I be sure it is the PSU?
All help is appreciated.
